What is the meaning of Coffee?

11/4/2015

Coffee holds a special meaning to me because I met my husband, Rich, over coffee. About 17 years ago I was working for a local bank and every morning I stopped at Starbucks for a CafĂ© Mocha. I remember each morning I stopped there, no matter what the time, I would see my husband sitting there with a few of his friends. I thought this was interesting, in fact I thought he owned the place, but I always ran in to get my mocha and would race off to work. One morning as I was leaving, my husband stopped me and said, "you know, if you got up about 10 minutes earlier you would not have to race off to work and you could sit with us". I agreed I could do this, wished him a good day, and went off to work.

A couple of weeks later I decided to get up a little earlier and when I got my mocha I decided to sit down with he and his friends. I enjoyed my visit and made it a regular routine in the morning. After a while, my husband looked for me at coffee in the afternoon after work and when I stopped for coffee we would chat for a while. A little later on he started mentioning that he was thinking of going to a movie and I was invited to join him if I so chose, and I did. Over time, we became very good friends. I will never forget a dinner he had at his condo where he invited me and a few other people in the hopes of finding me my "Mario". In reality, he wanted me to find my Mario but he was falling for me and did not want me to know. It did not take too long after that dinner for he and I to share our feelings toward one another and that following summer we became a couple and the rest as they say is "history".

I felt this was a good place to start with my blog because tomorrow (11/5/15) is our 11th Wedding Anniversary and to this day we still enjoy going for coffee as a way of spending time together. I look forward to sharing more stories from my past and present about my husband and I because he is the love of my life and it makes me happy anytime I get to spend time with him or share our story.

Thank you for reading....

Welcome

11/1/2015

Today marks the beginning of what I hope is a blog that incorporates interests for many if not all who visit. I am not sure where this blog will go but I do know that I want it to be a place where anyone who visits feels comfortable and not out of place. I am the type of individual who likes to see people happy and not hurt or upset. With this in mind, I would like to keep this blog light and interesting with a little humor mixed in but without negativity. I appreciate all who visit and welcome your comments and thoughts.

Thank you for visiting and welcome to Coffee with Carrie :)
